Storytime Snacks
π Storytime Snacks π
I think it is really important to teach your kids about seasons (even when you live in LA and there are no seasonsπ). One of my favorite books is called "Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn.β I have teamed up with some amazing moms to share #storytimesnacks ideas as my kindergartener son has become really interested in reading and writing. All of us have come up with different ways to encourage literacy instead of traditional methods. I took this book and made a snack with fall produce such as apples and what was fun was that my son came up with 2 different types of snacks using apples (muffins and a cinnamon spiced carrot apple sauce). After this, he worked on drawing a picture & writing out some of the fall themed words to go along with it. After you read these books with your kids, having them draw a picture of the book helps with their comprehension skills as well as their fine motor skills.
