Holiday Gift Guide

Gifts for 2 Year Olds:

At this age as your child begins to explore their environment more and enter the world of creative play, you want to provide more options to help develop their imagination. Toddlers like to mimic what they see as they begin to enter the world of pretend play. Here are some gift options:

Waldorf Baby Doll 11"

Waldorf Girl Baby Doll

Little Heavy Baby Waldorf Doll

Doll Hammock

Doll Bedding

Wood Doll Cradle

Woodland Fairy Nightlight  (at this age children tend to become more fearful of the dark. Having a night light that’s calming and has soothing tones helps with bedtime).

Wooden Play Kitchen Set

Knit Fruit Set

Knit Vegetable Set

Gifts for Ages 3 and Up:

At this age you want to continue working on your child’s creative play by offering different modalities and options. Finger knitting and painting are great ways to help facilitate the growth of their fine motor skills as well. These are a few of my favorite gifts for this age:

Dollhouse Family of Dolls  (Ideally it would be nice to have various sets of skin tones that your child interacts with during play. At age 3, a child may want more help from you when setting up a dollhouse, but by age 4, I find that they like to engage in this play on their own).

Ages 6 and Up:

Children at this age like to build things, invent things and set the stage for play. They like to be the director, not the actor :). At this age, they are also working on their written skills and activities to help facilitate this include beading (with a smaller diameter of bead holes)  knitting/sewing, and finger games (ie: cats cradles). Here are some of my favorite items:

60 Piece Marble set

Spinning Super Top

Globe Ball

Jacks set

Spinning Top

Wooden Beading kit

Finger Strings- A Book of Cats Cradles

Chalkboard and Eraser set

L’atelier de Bricolage Tool set

Jumprope

*All of the GRIMMS wooden toys also make great additions at any of these ages and really do grow with your child.
