Crispy Quinoa vs. Croutons

Adding crunch without the gluten!

A fun way to spice up your salads and pasta is to add crunch! Instead of adding croutons which can be void of nutrition, crisping up the quinoa can be a fun and nutritious way to add crunch.
Here's is how I make my crispy quinoa: ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Get 2 cups steamed and cooked quinoa, mix with 1/2 cup olive oil.
Put it on a sheet tray lined with @ifyoucare_usa unbleached parchment.
Spread the quinoa in a nice even layer.
Bake at 350 convection for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown and delicious. *It helps to mix the quinoa again about every 10-15 min to avoid the outer edges from burning
*once ready, pour quinoa onto a few layers of paper towels to soak excess oil and let cool (at this point you can season with salt and pepper to taste)

What do you like to add to your salads???
