"Be Careful"
When saying BE CAREFUL, I find that all it does is make your child nervous (or in some cases annoyed 😉). Instead, you want to be there to support them at this young of an age to offer guidance and if necessary a lending hand. My motto is if they can climb UP it, they can climb DOWN it. This may not work for everyone, but I am comfortable with it. Regardless of your comfort level, it is really important to offer your child lots of opportunities to climb as it allows them to build their balance, gross motor and fine motor skills. ❓❓❓
What is your go-to response when your child climbs up onto something high?
a) get down
b) be careful!
c) let me help take you down
d) come back down the way you went up
