5 Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV is one of the things I always have in my house and here are my top 5 uses:

🍎 It is antibacterial, so I love using it when sick. Just gargling with diluted mixture of ACV and water can help soothe a sore throat. I find placing some ACV on a washcloth and patting your child’s forehead and the bottoms of their feet can help cool them down (though they will complain of the smell).

🍎 Fruit fly killer. Mix soap, some ACV, and water in a mason jar and then cover with plastic wrap and poke holes in the top of it with a fork. The flies are attracted to it and will go into the jar and get trapped.

🍎 Add some ACV when soaking your beans and grains, to help remove the phytic acid due to the vinegar’s acidity which helps with digestibility.

🍎 It’s also great as a cleaner. You can use it to clean your toothbrush and can add it to your homemade cleaning products. (Warning-Do not use acid on marble surfaces!)

🍎 Hair Rinse. Mix 1 part ACV to 1 part water, pour it over your hair and leave in for a few minutes before washing out. It will help remove buildup and add shine to your hair.
