Sample at Home Schooling Schedules

Daily Rhythm:

Benjamin Franklin: Start the day with:  What good will I do today?

End the day with: What good have I done today?

6:30-8am Rising and Breakfast

Brush teeth, get dressed, clear table and wash dishes, creative free play

Song- transition to morning circle 

-Come follow me, it’s time you see, to stretch our arms and legs. 

Come join me on the rug to start our day. 

8-8:30am Morning Meeting (my son talks to his teachers)

                   Circle Time- with my younger two 

8:30-9am math workshop for my son

                   Puzzle time for my middle daughter

                   Open ended play for my youngest

Laundry time - fold clothes etc

9am- nap for my youngest 

9am -10am Morning activity - out breath

         Walk (I will put my youngest in carrier so she can rest on me), yoga, outside play, obstacle course, relay race, etc 

Wash hands

10-10:20am Morning Snack 

10:20-11am Art/creative play

11:00-11:30am Reading books

12-1pm Lunch

1-3pm Nap time for the girls 

1-2pm quiet activity/rest time for my son 

2-3pm reading/writing workshop for my son (he does this in the kitchen while I prep dinner and make snack)

3:00-3:30pm Snack/Tea time

3:30-4:30 out breath activity (dance party, jump rope, hop scotch (use painters tape on floor) etc) 

4:30-5:15pm puppet show. Kids put on one for my youngest or we face time grandparents so they can watch the show

5:15pm wash hands and set table

5:30pm Dinner 

6:00pm clean up together. Everyone has a responsibility (table wiper, floor cleaner, washing dishes, drying dishes, putting dishes away)

6:30pm bath, brush teeth, pjs

7pm read 1-2 books with my youngest and then goes down while my older two pick out one book each to read. 

7:30pm Bed Time for my older kids
