Mommy or I?

Do you ever get confused as to when you should refer to yourself as 'Mommy' or as 'I'?
🤔🤔🤔
There is actually a time when you should be using one versus the other. Up until your little one is 2 years old, you refer to yourself in the third person or as 'mommy.' The purpose is not only to teach your child who you are but to enforce them using the word 'mommy.' Additionally, they don't understand the use of pronouns until about 2 1/2 years old. Thus, you make the switch a little before they use a pronoun and that is how they start picking up on how to use the words I, me, he and she; although 'he' and 'she' come a little bit later. 👍👍👍
You will often hear them misuse pronouns but instead of shaming them, just correct the sentence without any differentiation in the tone of your voice.
